It appeared there are just a few solutions for protecting the display. And just a few shops offer a solution!! (strange?!). So I was very glad to find Da Products on the web. custom protector for Canon SD750

If anyone wants to get one of these for a Canon SD750, I successfully installed a custom 67x52 mm protector. The camera has a decorative bump near the top right corner of the screen, so you have to trim the adhesive that will go on the right side of the screen lengthwise by a hair. Putting a large (3-in screen) protector on is a little harder than putting a small protector on because there's more dust to deal with, but it can be done! Thanks.

I've read these horrible stories how easy the LCD-screens break on these devices, so I ordered the "da Oly Protector". Shipping to Belgium took about 1 week, fast!This protector is WAY better than the regular protectors which just stick onto the screen (and always seem to peel of after a while). The "DA Oly Protector" really protects the LCD and is very robust! No more worries about breaking/scratching the LCD :) Installation is very easy as well... GREAT product!

Thanks for a great product! I bought a LCD protector here online for my D2Hs after having lost, several times, the cheap flimsy plastic cover that came with the camera. The 'da Products protector was easy to install and fits perfectly. The plastic is absolutely clear, and the scratch-proof surface seems well treated.

I ordered the D2X and D50 protectors and they arrived all the way from the USA to Ireland only a few days after I ordered them. Considering that daProducts only charges a small shipping charge, I was pleasantly surprised at the speed. These protectors really are a professional looking item and you hardly know they are fitted. Great value for money and many times better (and cheaper) than the quick-lose Nikon items. I look forward to also getting the D200 ones when they become available.

My family, friends, and I have purchased at least 20 da mini products over the years. E X C E L L E N T service. The *first* da mini you put on may take you a bit of time until you figure out how to unpeel the adhesive strip. However, relatively easy on and very easy off (but read the directions). I bought a proctector for my new camera after hearing horror stories of people cracking their LCD screens. My protector came within 4 days. I had a question on how to install, and I got an immediate response and explanation via email. This has to be the best product out there to protect your LCD screen. I refused to use my new SD500 until I installed a 'da protector. It's the cheapest insurance you'll ever buy. Try 'em on other items as well, such as scanners, 2-way radios, certain cellphones - any little window that could use protection. One of the many 'da protectors might be a perfect fit!

Very impressed - Rounded corners, CLEAR plastic, my LCD is now COVERED (in all senses of the word!) I am no longer afraid to carry around this perfect camera with this perfect accessory added on. A MUST HAVE! Get the Canon (or Nikon, Olympus, etc, etc) YOU WANT and add a large sense of security. Even if a manufacturer will replace a broken LCD, why go through the hassle if you don't have to. I ordered on Dec.8, received on Dec.12. EXACTLY what I was looking for. I had purchased another "screen protector" with my SD200, which has a history of the LCD cracking. It was flimsy, only protecting against scratches. With the "Oly", I feel much more comfortable carrying my camera in my pocket, which is why I got a tiny camera in the first place! The hard acrylic "floats" above the actual LCD, giving an extra layer of cushioning if you accidentally put pressure on the screen area. I bought another Canon SD200 as a gift, and I wouldn't have, if this product didn't exist!

I discoverded the protector the hard way: after my LCD screen broke. I love my SD300 Canon, I carry it with me everywhere. After my LCD screen broke, I researched the problem on the net and found out about the protector. I bought it and took my camera to a night club the day after I installed it on my rapaired camera. Some drunk guy dropped my camera on the floor after taking my picture. I was shoked, but to my surprise the camera was ok. I am sure that without the protector the screen would have been broken again. Thank you very much for the invention! I love it!

I discovered the Da Protector while reading reviews for the new Canon SD300 I was considering purchasing. The most common concern seemed to be LCD screens that would crack, but otherwise it seemed to be a very good camera. I bought the Da Oly protector and am very pleased with it! It's not some flimsy piece of plastic, but rather is rigid, just thick enough to be durable and very clear. I showed my LCD-protected camera to a friend and it looked so good that he didn't even know that the protector had been added aftermarket!
I was slightly confused at first by the instructions, which are for another model, as they stated that the adhesive strips should be applied over the 4 black edges. The Da Oly protector only has 2 black edges (left & right), so that's where I put the adhesive and stuck it on. I've read some concerns about dust possibly getting under the protector, but this hasn't happened to me yet after several weeks of use. Even if it should, there's plenty of adhesive left to remove and re-apply if needed.
I just ordered another LCD protector for my S400...from Da Products, of course!

The Oly Protector and the SD400 are a great match. It fits great, really secure, and completely protects the screen... Even if you push against it, the weight is transferred to the metal frame, not the screen. If you have the Canon Powershot SD400 or any others in the SD series get the protector, it fixes the lack of screen protection canon gave. Shipping was fast, and $8 is worth it for peace of mind knowing that the lcd on your camera is safe.

My sister's birthday is coming up soon, and I got a Canon SD200 camera for her. Its size fits a young lady's purse perfectly, but also produces excellent results. Being so small increases the risk of having the large LCD screen scratched or cracked - if you have ever seen what can be found inside a lady's purse, you know what I mean. So getting the compatible 'da Oly protector is probably the best $8 ($6 + $2 for shipping) invested in protecting the $200 camera. The protecter is unbelievably rigid, yet perfectly clear. It came with both sides covered in protecting film, with plenty of adhesive strips and instructions packed in an ermetic plastic bag. Order was processed quickly and the package got halfway around the world in less than a week! I'm impressed and very satisfied, 'da Products receive my unreserved recommendation!

I was hesitant to buy my Canon SD400 because of all of the complaints of broken LCD screens. One of the reviews on Amazon.com directed me to this product, saying that it protected the LCD. I didn't want some flimsy static cling soft plastic cover for it...because it wouldn't do any good. I needed something that was a hard plastic, so that I could just toss my camera in my purse without having to worry about the LCD screen. This is that piece of hard plastic that is a perfect fit on my camera!!! This product is AMAZING. I asked around at about 5 retail stores to see if anyone knew of any quality LCD protector and all of the sales associates looked at me dumbfounded. THIS IS THE PRODUCT I WAS LOOKING FOR!!!!!! It is amazing! It is a perfect fit for my camera and it totally completes my camera. I no longer worry about my LCD screen. This product is so amazing-- I wish it were in stores like BestBuy and CordCamera. Everyone who has a digital camera with a soft LCD screen NEEDS to buy this!!! One of the biggest complaints for my camera are broken LCDs, and all the retail stores push the LCD covers to solve the problem but all these are good for are scratch protection from light scratches. I was thinking of making a plastic shield to glue on to the outside of the recessed screen but then I saw a recommendation for a 'da Protector and after some more research, ordered one. I figured, for the price, even if it's complete garbage... big deal. It came today and I must say it exceeds every expectation I had. The cam is sitting here infront of me at work and it looks like it came that way. One thing I did was round the edges a little to give it an OEM look/feel. The screen fits perfectly, it is very clear and you have peace of mind just by touching it/holding the camera, you know that from now on your camera will break in half before anything happens to that fancy, expensive and non-warranted LCD.
Big thumbs up and an easy recommendation. Again my only suggestion is when you get yours, to spend a minute with a file and round the edges of the outside face before removing the protective paper.

I ordered 3 protectors for 3 different cameras. They all fit perfectly and the plexi glass is way better than those thin adhesive protectors in terms of true screen protection. This plexiglass is thick, though, as described on the website. If your camera's LCD is flush with the rest of the body, it will stick out slightly.
The screen for the Canon SD400 sticks out a little in terms of being flush with the unit. There is a slight sharp edge when rubbing your hand against it.
The screen on the Canon S50 fits perfectly. No problems with it whatsoever.
The screen for the Sony T-1 is just like the Canon SD400. It sticks out slightly less, but there is a bit of an edge to it.
Another thing...make sure you install the adhesive completely around the screen or else dust will eventually work its way in there. Make it as air tight as possible.

I received my OlyProtector yesterday, sooner than expected. It fit my Canon Digital Elph SD-200 perfectly. The protector is a bit thicker than I expected, but not too thick. It seems to be a very high quality, dense, rigid, and tough plastic. The only way my LCD will be damaged now will be by a solid blow to the camera body. I also appreciate the extra adhesive strips, in case I ever feel the need to remove the protector.
I would add one more optional step to the installation. If you have a can of compressed air handy, I'd recommend giving both the LCD and the protector one last shot before afixing it to the camera.

I recently purchased a iPod Photo, and wanted to protect the viewing screen from scratches. I purchased the Jr. from you, and it works like a charm!!!! Granted, the size overlaps the screen slightly, but I love the black outline against the white Ipod. I'm not sure if this will work with other "skin" or "glove" type cases, but I have a leather fold-over type case, and it works perfect. I think there's a great market for you here, esp. if you reduce the size slighty. I've already sent several other people to your site to get one. This has got to be the best money I've ever spent!! Luckily, I discovered daProducts and got a Rebel Protector installed before the LCD got any scratches. This thing fits the camera like a glove. Way better than anything I found on the internet or at local camera stores. Why spend $20 on plastic static-cling PDA screen covers that you have to cut to fit yourself and don't even protect the screen like 1/16 acrylic? Rebel Protector is a great idea. The only problem is I wish I had thought of it first!

In a camera discussion group on-line, your product was considered a "bullet proof vest" for LCDs compared to other "plastic raincoat" film protectors. Da Protector is inexpensive, easy to put on, looks great and does the job. It's definitely the best protector out there.

The protectors work great. It has saved my LCD a couple of times. Purchased mine about 6 months ago. The only thing I would recommend it that the adhesive be placed on the top and bottom as well. After about two months, small dust particles will get between the cover and the LCD. It is almost impossible to clean and the only thing you can do is put on a new one. Keep up the good work!

Someone on epinions.com recommended your protectors for my Canon Powershot S50 digital camera, so I decided to order one and give it a shot. It has been worth every penny, and then some. I thought I would be receiving a cheap plastic sheet of some sort for the screen, but I get a hard plastic protector that can actually protect my screen from scratches and other damage. Thanks again!

I use My protectors in my Sony 717 and in my DimageX, the dimageX is in a pocket, a bag, on the side of my truck...in other works is everywere I go here In Iraq, the cam has nicks, scratches, and marks, but the LCD still new and the cover still perfect, no other product comes close to this quality, and even in the 120 degree heat, the cover still place.

I had been using the EXPENSIVE AND FLIMSY film covers for my LCD, but my sister told me about your covers, and she was very pleased with it. I finally ordered it, and anxiously waited through the holiday weekend to get it. Monday it arrived, I put it on my LCD, and am very happy with the results! Now I won't worry as much when my 6 yr. old wants to check out every picture I take right after I take it! Thank you for a great product- it should be sold with EVERY camera. Ordered "da protector" for my Canon S45, the process of putting it on the camera was easy and it does indeed what it's suppose to do wonderfully, and clearly. I only wish the edges of the protector were not sharp corners, if they buffed it so it had a smooth beveled edge, then it would be better.

I have been so impressed by the protector I purchased for my Sony Mavica CD-400. Previously, I was a little hesitant every time I used my camera for fear of damaging the LCD. And I was equally hesitant about attaching something to the camera.
Not Anymore!! The da Protector IV was a great solution, easy to install & crystal clear - simply a wonderful product. It removed my fear of handling the camera. It was so good in fact, that I just ordered a new one for my new Sony Mavica CD-500 & I will wait to use the camera until it arrives! Fortunately, shipping here usually only takes 3 days!

I use your Da protector for my Sony DSC S75. It is very good. Only hitch I feel is, it does not have anti-glare properties. I think it can be excellent if it has one. It also blocks Sony name under the LCD. But that is not a big issue. Congratulations

I've recieved 'da Mini Protector for my Canon S45 yesterday and i ordered it at april 19. I live in Denmark, so I'm pretty impressed. Furthermore the Protector fitted just fine. Now I can use the camera without thinking about scrathes on LCD. Ive just found out, that a replacement of LCD cost about $150, so this is far better.

In the Fuji S2-Forum somebody was talking about this Protector - and so finally we had the right solution instead of the Tupperware-Protector, that comes with the cam ;-)
I use it for the S2 and the Oly 5050 - and it's great. We already placed the next order for my colleagues in our company.
I highly recommend it - better than any other solution ever seen.

I installed two 'da Protectors III's, one on an FD-73 and one on an FD-95, and both installed with ease. The glass is thick, but does not affect the quality of the view through the LCD. I am glad that I purchased this product, because if by chance the protector gets scratched, the velcro attachment allows for easy removal and replacement. The velcro attachment also allows for easy removal to clean the inside of the glass in case dust gets between the LCD and the protector.

I received protector 18. Feb. It takes about 2 weeks..(It's South Korea.. ^^) It fits my CP4500 perfectly... But, after removing liner, surfaces were sticky..(especially outside...) Anyway... 'da protector is good for LDC protection.. ^^ Thanks...

Thanks for a great product, superbly packed and efficiently executed - 7 days or so to UK, excellent service. I fitted it today on my Canon S30, simple and straight forward.
Being a bit of a perfectionist, I followed the example of a previous S30 user and, before fitting, beveled the right hand edge of the 'da Mini to match the contour of the S30. Not essential, but it does make the protector look like original equipment. Again, it was a simple task using just the curved end of a nail file to achieve the required curved bevel.
Thanks again. I can now relax, and handle and use the camera with greater confidence.
